Common name:
Hardy dragon bamboo.
Fargesia
'Dracocephala' is a vigorous, rapid growing and cold
hardy clumping bamboo from China. Dense,
slightly weeping habit.
Wind tolerant;
Makes an excellent solid screen. Prefers organic soils with
good drainage. Thrives in
sun and also tolerates shade.

drainage is essential, to avoid root rot. Add organic matter to amend the
soil if necessary. Bamboo
is a heavy nitrogen feeder. Remember that
fresh bark can rob nitrogen as it decomposes.
